flydubai has announced the addition of four new European destinations to its growing network, reinforcing its role in connecting underserved markets.
The Dubai-based airline will launch direct flights to Chișinău and Iași in September 2025, followed by Riga and Vilnius in December 2025.
The expansion brings flydubai’s European footprint to 35 destinations across 20 countries. Significantly, it makes flydubai the first UAE carrier to operate direct flights to Iași International Airport in Romania. The airline has served Romania since 2012, beginning with flights to Bucharest.
The new routes also mark flydubai’s debut in the Baltic region, introducing direct services to Latvia’s Riga International Airport and Lithuania’s Vilnius International Airport. These additions push the number of underserved markets in the airline’s network to over 100.
“The expansion of our network reflects our unwavering commitment to opening up underserved markets and stimulating free flows of trade and tourism,”
said Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai.
“With our new services to Eastern Europe and the Baltic region, we look forward to strengthening the UAE’s trade and cultural links.”
Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce, highlighted Europe’s strategic importance, stating that the new destinations offer passengers greater access to Dubai and seamless connectivity through flydubai and its Emirates codeshare partnership.
With these additions, flydubai now serves over 135 destinations, 75% of which are on routes previously lacking direct connections from Dubai.
