flydubai is ramping up its presence in Italy, adding more daily flights between Dubai and Naples while preparing to double its Milan-Bergamo service starting 31 July.
The move strengthens the Dubai-based carrier's foothold in one of its key European markets ahead of the winter travel season.
The expansion comes with a temporary adjustment. Scheduled maintenance works at Naples International Airport will see flydubai shift its daily Dubai flights to Salerno Costa d'Amalfi and Cilento Airport from 1 to 30 November 2026, before returning to Naples on 1 December. Passengers already booked to Naples during that window will be automatically rebooked onto the Salerno route, with the airline pledging uninterrupted journeys throughout the switch.
Once the new frequencies take effect, flydubai's Italian network will include double-daily flights to Milan-Bergamo, daily service to Naples, three weekly flights to Catania and twice-weekly seasonal flights to Olbia running through the end of August.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, said Naples and Milan have become central to the airline's Italian operations and reaffirmed its focus on supporting trade, tourism and travel links between the UAE and Italy as winter demand picks up.
Jeyhun Efendi, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce, added that the enhanced routes reflect the growing importance of the Italian market and the airline's push for seamless, non-stop connectivity.
The announcement follows a string of recent route launches for flydubai, including Aleppo, Bangkok and Benghazi, with Pokhara set to join the network on 23 September. The Naples and Milan-Bergamo services operate under flydubai's codeshare partnership with Emirates, giving passengers single-ticket bookings and through-checked baggage across both networks.
