flydubai has signed a strategic interline agreement with TAROM, Romania’s national carrier, giving passengers seamless access to 15 destinations across TAROM’s network via Bucharest International Airport.
The partnership expands travel options between the UAE, Romania, and key European cities including Athens, Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Madrid, and Paris.
Ramesh Anantharaman, Divisional Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and Business Effectiveness at flydubai, said the agreement enhances connectivity between Dubai and Eastern and Central Europe, supporting trade, tourism, and cultural exchange. Passengers benefit from simplified itineraries, single-ticket bookings, and through check-in of baggage to their final destination.
flydubai has operated flights to Bucharest since 2012, witnessing steady growth in demand. By collaborating with partners like TAROM, the airline reinforces Dubai’s role as a global aviation hub while creating new opportunities for business and leisure travel between the UAE, Romania, and beyond.
Costin Iordache, General Manager of TAROM, described the agreement as a natural step in the airline’s strategy to improve regional connectivity, offering safe, reliable, and convenient travel options that support both tourism and commerce.
flydubai operates double daily flights from Dubai International Airport to Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport and will expand service to Iași from 19 September 2025. Business Class passengers enjoy lie-flat seats, international cuisine, and immersive entertainment, while Economy Class travelers benefit from reclined seats with adjustable leather headrests.
Currently, flydubai serves over 135 destinations across 57 countries, has launched more than 100 previously underserved routes, and operates a fleet of 93 modern Boeing 737 aircraft.
