flydubai has signed an agreement with SpaceX to bring Starlink’s high-speed satellite internet to its growing fleet, promising a major upgrade to the airline’s inflight experience.

The move was announced today at the Dubai Airshow 2025, reinforcing flydubai’s focus on innovation and customer connectivity.

Under the deal, Starlink will be installed on 100 Boeing 737 aircraft in 2026, providing passengers with fast, low-latency internet capable of supporting streaming, video calls, online gaming, and more. Installation times are expected to be measured in hours, enabling rapid deployment across the fleet.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, said the partnership marks a milestone in enhancing travel experiences. He highlighted that reliable connectivity has become essential for today’s travellers and that the collaboration with Starlink ensures customers remain connected throughout their journeys.

Chad Gibbs, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX, described the service as offering inflight connectivity comparable to home internet. He emphasized Starlink’s commitment to providing seamless broadband for both passengers and crew.

The partnership will extend high-bandwidth service across flydubai’s network of over 100 destinations. Passengers can expect uninterrupted HD streaming and real-time digital services, while crew members will benefit from access to real-time data to enhance operational efficiency.

Daniel Kerrison, Senior Vice President of Inflight Operations at flydubai, said the service aligns with Dubai’s reputation for innovation and world-class hospitality. He added that fast, reliable internet is key to delivering exceptional experiences for both leisure and business travellers.

With Starlink onboard, flydubai joins a growing list of global carriers embracing next-generation inflight Wi-Fi, positioning the airline as a technology-forward player in the competitive aviation market.
