flydubai has launched its first nonstop service from Dubai to Vilnius, marking the UAE carrier’s debut connection to Lithuania and expanding its footprint in Central and Eastern Europe.

The new route aims to strengthen travel, tourism, and trade links between the two nations.

The flights will operate three times per week, offering passengers seamless access to Dubai’s global aviation hub and onward connections to destinations including the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Thailand. This makes flydubai the first UAE airline to provide direct service to Lithuania.

Her Excellency Noora Juma, UAE non-resident Ambassador to Lithuania, described the launch as a milestone for bilateral relations, highlighting the route’s potential to unlock new opportunities for business and tourism. Lithuanian Transport Minister Juras Taminskas noted that the service reflects Vilnius Airport’s appeal as a reliable partner for international carriers and expects around 40,000 passengers in the first year.

Jeyhun Efendi, flydubai’s Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce, emphasised that the route will boost tourism and trade, offering convenient travel options while fostering stronger economic ties. Lithuanian Airports CEO Simonas Bartkus highlighted the route’s role in enhancing connectivity, providing access to over 200 destinations through the flydubai and Emirates network, and supporting inbound tourism in the Baltic region.

Passengers on the new service can enjoy flydubai’s Business Class with lie-flat seats and premium dining, while Economy Class travellers benefit from complimentary inflight entertainment and meals. The route is part of the flydubai-Emirates codeshare partnership, allowing for streamlined ticketing and baggage handling.

Flights depart from Vilnius International Airport to Dubai International Terminal 3 three times weekly, with Economy Class Lite fares starting from EUR 390 and Business Class fares from EUR 1,440.

This launch marks a significant step in connecting the Middle East with the Baltic region and strengthening opportunities for both leisure and business travel.
