flydubai has announced the launch of flights to Nairobi International Airport starting 15 October 2025, marking a significant expansion of its footprint in East Africa.

The Dubai-based carrier will operate a four-times-weekly service from Dubai International’s Terminal 3, further strengthening air connectivity between the UAE and Kenya.

The airline also confirmed it will increase its Mombasa service to a daily schedule beginning 1 October 2025, bringing its total weekly flights to Kenya to 11. The move highlights the growing demand for travel and trade links between the two nations.

“Kenya is an important market for flydubai, and we are pleased to strengthen our operations with the addition of Nairobi and the increased frequency of our service to Mombasa,”

said Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai. He added that the expansion supports stronger economic and cultural ties between the UAE and Africa.

With the launch of Nairobi, flydubai will serve 12 destinations in Africa, including Addis Ababa, Dar es Salaam, Entebbe, and Zanzibar. The airline said the new routes will create more convenient options for both business and leisure travelers across its global network.

Return fares for the Dubai–Nairobi route start from AED 1,700 in Economy Class and AED 4,500 in Business Class, with flights operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Nairobi, often referred to as East Africa’s economic and cultural hub, is a popular destination for business, tourism, and its unique proximity to Nairobi National Park. flydubai’s new service is expected to further boost connectivity between the UAE and the wider East African region.
