flydubai delivered a strong financial performance in 2025, reporting a pre-tax profit of AED2.2 billion (US$591 million) on total revenue of AED13.6 billion (US$3.7 billion), a 6 percent increase from 2024.

Profit after tax stood at AED1.9 billion (US$531 million), underscoring the airline’s strategic network expansion and focus on customer experience.

The airline carried a record 15.7 million passengers, with Business Class demand up 19 percent. Growth was particularly strong in the Middle East (17 percent), Africa (12 percent), and Europe (12 percent), supported by increased frequencies and the addition of nine new destinations. Overall, flydubai’s network now spans 140 airports across 58 countries.

Operational efficiency remained a priority, with on-time departures improving by 6 percent and fuel costs accounting for 25 percent of total expenses. The carrier operated 126,604 flights in 2025, including more than 400 departures in a single day during peak travel periods. EBITDA reached AED4.0 billion (US$1.1 billion), and cash and bank balances totaled AED5.6 billion (US$1.5 billion).

Fleet expansion and modernization continued, with the delivery of 12 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft and the retirement of three older models. The airline also retrofitted eight Boeing 737-800 aircraft and announced major aircraft orders at the Dubai Airshow, including 150 Airbus A321neos and 75 Boeing 737 MAX jets. From 2026, high-speed Starlink inflight connectivity will be introduced across the fleet.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO, said the results reflect the resilience of flydubai’s business model amid global challenges and its role in strengthening Dubai as a global aviation hub. The airline also enhanced workforce and training programs, expanding headcount by 11 percent and launching pilot and engineering apprenticeships.

flydubai expects continued demand in 2026 and plans to take delivery of 12 new aircraft, including seven Boeing 737 MAX 9s to boost Business Class capacity, supporting both growth and sustainability goals.
