flydubai has reinforced its commitment to aviation safety by signing the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Safety Leadership Charter, a global initiative that promotes safety through strong leadership and accountability across airline operations.
The agreement, signed by flydubai Chief Executive Officer Ghaith Al Ghaith, places the Dubai-based carrier among more than 150 global airlines dedicated to advancing safety standards. The move highlights the airline’s ongoing efforts to embed a safety-first culture across all areas of its business.
Al Ghaith said the charter’s principles would be integrated into the airline’s daily operations, further enhancing its contribution to global aviation safety.
“Fostering a safety-first culture remains a high priority at flydubai, and we look forward to working with our industry partners to maintain safety throughout our entire operations,”
he said.
Developed in collaboration with aviation stakeholders, the IATA Safety Leadership Charter encourages airlines to strengthen safety awareness, trust, and accountability through active leadership engagement. Its principles emphasize collective responsibility, transparent communication, and continuous improvement of safety culture.
Khalid Alhumaidan, Senior Vice President of Compliance, Safety & Sustainability at flydubai, described the signing as a milestone in the airline’s ongoing journey to strengthen its safety culture.

he said.
The move aligns with flydubai’s broader strategy to ensure the wellbeing of its passengers, workforce, and stakeholders while contributing to a safer global aviation industry.
