Forbes Middle East will bring global attention to Dubai’s growing influence in healthcare as it launches the second edition of its Medical Tourism and Wellness Summit on 9–10 December in partnership with the American Hospital Dubai.
The event aims to spotlight the region’s rise as a leading destination for advanced medical services and holistic wellbeing.
The summit will gather specialists, innovators, senior economic figures, and government officials from across the region and beyond. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, will deliver the opening keynote, emphasizing the sector’s expanding economic impact. Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services is also set to join the expert discussions.
Hosted at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the programme will address six core themes, including the UAE National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031. The strategy aligns with the country’s long-term development goals and has driven progress in income levels, social wellbeing, and high-quality public services, solidifying the UAE’s position as a global hub for tourism, healthcare, and investment.
Sessions will explore the UAE’s leadership in shaping future health models, its growing prominence in medical tourism, and advancements in insurance solutions that enhance international access to care. Speakers will highlight innovations that improve patient satisfaction and streamline services worldwide.
Khuloud Al Omian, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Middle East, said the summit comes at a pivotal time as the region advances its understanding of holistic wellbeing. Sherif Beshara, Group CEO of Mohamed & Obaid AlMulla Group and American Hospital Dubai, underscored the importance of collaboration in strengthening the health economy.
The event is expected to attract a wide roster of experts, entrepreneurs, and content creators, supported by partnerships with leading regional and international organizations.
