The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has once again been recognized for its commitment to innovation, securing the Innovative Government Entity certification (Advanced Level) for the second consecutive year.
This accolade, awarded by the Global Innovation Institute (GInI) as part of UAE Innovation Month 2025, underscores the FTA’s dedication to fostering creativity, operational excellence, and sustainable tax solutions.
In addition to this prestigious certification, the GInI awarded Level 3 Innovation Accreditation to three key FTA projects:
- EmaraTax – a comprehensive digital transformation system for tax operations.
- Maskan – a digital solution simplifying VAT refunds for UAE nationals building new homes.
- Muwafaq – an initiative aimed at supporting SMEs and encouraging voluntary tax compliance.
These projects reflect the FTA’s continuous efforts to enhance tax services and improve efficiency through cutting-edge innovation. Speaking on the achievement, Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director-General of the FTA, emphasized the Authority’s commitment to supporting the national innovation drive and promoting voluntary tax compliance.
“The FTA remains dedicated to adopting creative approaches that strengthen the UAE’s tax system while fostering partnerships that drive financial sustainability,”
Al Bustani stated.
The certification was presented by the Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) at GInI, who commended the FTA for integrating digital transformation and institutional excellence into its operations.
This recognition reinforces the FTA’s global standing as a forward-thinking government entity, aligning with UAE Vision 2031 and the UAE Centennial 2071 goals of innovation-driven governance and sustainable financial growth.
