FTA Wins Economic Impact Category at Zero Government Bureaucracy Award
The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has clinched first place in the Economic Impact category at the inaugural Zero Government Bureaucracy Award, recognising its significant role in reducing bureaucracy and streamlining business operations.
The award, presented by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, highlights efforts that simplify business processes. The FTA’s achievement, particularly in corporate tax registration, exemplifies the UAE's commitment to efficient governance and innovation in public services.
Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director-General of the FTA, commended the Authority’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Team, underscoring their dedication to delivering user-friendly services. He emphasized that the award reflects the FTA’s commitment to being a global leader in tax governance while supporting voluntary compliance and financial sustainability.
“This recognition is a testament to the FTA team's efforts in enhancing performance and innovation, aligning with our goal to create proactive, integrated government services that position the UAE at the forefront of global tax operations,”
Al Bustani said.
The FTA's initiatives have notably reduced corporate tax registration times, streamlined procedures, and cut costs for businesses, all contributing to the UAE's leading position in tax operations.
In its first year, the Zero Government Bureaucracy Award celebrates organizations that have effectively minimized bureaucratic hurdles, driving economic growth and operational efficiency. The FTA’s victory is a testament to its ongoing commitment to excellence and government priorities in reducing bureaucracy and enhancing customer satisfaction.
