The sixth Future Food Forum concluded with a robust call for collaboration between the public and private sectors to enhance innovation and sustainability within the UAE's food industry.

This initiative aims to elevate the food sector's contribution to the economy by $10 billion by 2030, aligning with the goals outlined in the Cluster Strategy.

Organized by the UAE F&B Business Group under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Economy, the Forum centered on the theme "Future Consumer, Future Government, and Future Food," in strategic partnership with the Dubai Chamber and FoodTech Valley. Key discussions underscored the necessity of investing in local talent development to maintain leadership in the sector.

On the second day, the F&B Group announced the upcoming Global Food Security Summit, set to take place in Abu Dhabi this November. This summit will convene industry leaders, experts, and policymakers to tackle food scarcity challenges and promote a resilient food system.

The event also featured the award ceremony for the F&B Group's Emiratisation initiative, Ishraq, where Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, emphasized the importance of nurturing strategic thinking among Emiratis to prepare them for private sector roles. He announced the launch of the F&B Innovation Challenge, designed to inspire young Emiratis to contribute innovative ideas to the food sector.

In insightful presentations, industry experts highlighted emerging consumer trends emphasizing health and convenience, the potential of digital platforms in reducing food waste, and the Clean Label Movement's growing significance.

Saleh Lootah, Chairman of the UAE F&B Business Group, expressed optimism for the future, advocating for collaboration, technology adoption, and local talent investment to create a sustainable food ecosystem in the UAE.
