The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and AMMROC, the region’s leading military aviation maintenance provider, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in aviation training, skills development, and operational excellence.
This strategic agreement aligns with the UAE’s vision to enhance the aviation sector through innovation and talent development. Under the MoU, AMMROC will designate International Aviation Consulting & Training (IACT) as its preferred training provider, ensuring its engineering and technical teams receive industry-focused, specialised training.
The signing took place during IDEX 2025, with Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of GCAA, and Jasem Al Marzooqi, CEO of AMMROC, formalising the partnership. Al Suwaidi emphasized that the collaboration will equip AMMROC’s workforce with world-class training, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global leader in aviation excellence. Marzooqi highlighted the significance of continuous skills development, stating that this partnership will ensure AMMROC’s teams are prepared for evolving industry demands.
The agreement also prioritises hands-on training by engaging top-tier providers and leveraging emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and elevate industry standards.
