The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has secured a place in the Guinness World Records with a groundbreaking aerial display that combined 1,000 drones and 152 live fireworks, setting a new benchmark for aviation innovation and airspace management.

The record-breaking display took place during the Gala Dinner Ceremony, marking the first day of the 4th Global Symposium on Implementation Support and the Global Sustainable Aviation Marketplace, hosted in Abu Dhabi from February 10 to 12. The synchronized spectacle featured 300 drones forming intricate rings, within which fireworks were ignited, creating a stunning fusion of technology and artistry.

Saif Mohamed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the GCAA, hailed the achievement as a reflection of the UAE’s commitment to integrating emerging technologies.

“Breaking this world record with such precision and scale reinforces our vision of innovation, safety, and excellence in airspace management,”

he stated.

This latest Guinness World Record cements the UAE’s position as a leader in aviation and airspace technology, showcasing its ability to orchestrate large-scale aerial operations while pushing the boundaries of creativity and precision.
