The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries can now perform Umrah rituals using not just Umrah visas but also tourist and transit visas.

This initiative aims to provide greater flexibility and convenience for GCC residents, making it easier to fulfill their religious obligations. The move reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to enhance accessibility and improve the pilgrimage experience for Muslims across the region.

The ministry also emphasized that those wishing to visit Al-Rawdah Al-Sharif at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah must book their visit in advance through the Nusuk application.

This development aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to simplify pilgrimage procedures and promote religious tourism within the Kingdom.
