Dubai has taken a significant step toward streamlining investor services as the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs and the Dubai Land Department signed a memorandum of understanding to integrate real estate residency offerings into a single, seamless system.

The agreement, signed by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, and Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, Director General of Dubai Land Department, focuses on enhancing institutional collaboration and improving service delivery for investors and residents.

At the core of the partnership is the integration of three key residency services, including Golden Residency, Retiree Residency, and Property Residency, into the GDRFA Dubai platform. The move is expected to simplify procedures by offering a unified service channel, while improving processing speed, data exchange, and overall efficiency.

Officials said the initiative reflects a broader government strategy to align the real estate and residency ecosystems. By linking investment with stability and quality of life, the partnership aims to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global destination for living and working.

Al Marri highlighted the importance of delivering flexible, customer-focused services within an integrated government framework. He also acknowledged the Dubai Land Department’s progress in digital transformation, including automation and real estate tokenisation, as key enablers of the initiative.

Bu Shehab described the agreement as a milestone in advancing government integration, noting its role in enhancing operational efficiency and elevating the customer experience in the real estate sector.

The collaboration supports the goals of Dubai Economic Agenda D33, reinforcing efforts to boost economic growth, attract investment, and further establish Dubai as one of the world’s leading cities.
