Dubai’s General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs has signed a new partnership agreement with the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority in a move that aims to enhance cooperation, streamline services, and support the emirate’s broader vision for an integrated government ecosystem.
The agreement brings together both entities to coordinate on joint projects, develop community and knowledge initiatives, and improve services provided to DIFC clients, including members of the DIFC Family Wealth Centre. It also sets a framework for collaboration on legal, administrative, and technical matters while encouraging the exchange of expertise to elevate service quality.
Major General Obaid Mehayer Bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of GDRFA Dubai, said the partnership marks an important milestone in unifying government efforts and reflects the authority’s commitment to strategic collaborations that enhance customer experience.
Major General Khalaf Ahmed Al Ghaith added that the agreement reinforces GDRFA’s focus on serving the public interest and supporting investors through improved operational efficiency.
Essa Kazim, Governor of the DIFC Authority, welcomed the agreement, noting that it strengthens alignment between government entities and contributes to a more integrated business environment.
Arif Amiri, CEO of the DIFC Authority, said the collaboration will help facilitate processes for clients and bolster Dubai’s position as a global business hub.
The agreement is valid for two years and renewable. Both sides will maintain ongoing coordination to meet the partnership’s goals, including supporting high-net-worth individuals and family businesses within the DIFC Family Wealth Centre through enhanced services and streamlined procedures.
