Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has been honoured with the prestigious Gold Stevie Award for Innovation in Human Resources Management, Planning & Practice.
The award, presented at the 9th annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers 2024 in New York, recognises GDRFA’s leadership in talent management and organisational development.
The accolade was awarded for GDRFA’s pioneering 'Organisational Development and Talent Planning System' project. This initiative, emphasising organisational agility and strategic workforce planning, has helped the Directorate achieve global recognition.
Major Brigadier Awad Al Awaim, Assistant General Director of Human Resources and Finance Sector at GDRFA Dubai, highlighted the organisation’s success in integrating modern scientific principles into its framework. He credited GDRFA’s culture of innovation for nurturing national talents and fostering an innovative work environment.
Al Awaim noted that GDRFA’s talent management model, which focuses on managing organisational structures, has been key to its growth and numerous achievements.
The award was received by Aisha Saeed Al Mazrouei, Head of Career Needs and Emiratization, and Maryam Mohammed Al Badawi, Head of Organisational Structures, during a ceremony attended by global HR leaders.
GDRFA’s award-winning project combines organisational competence with cutting-edge business models and future foresight, strengthening the Directorate’s position as a global leader in human resource innovation.
