The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Dubai (GDRFA) signed an MoU with the Dubai Women Establishment, in line with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision to empower women.

Led by Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the agreement strengthens government partnerships and enhances women's professional and leadership capabilities, supporting their future roles.

Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri emphasized Dubai's commitment to supporting women, acknowledging their vital role in sustainable development and economic growth. The MoU reflects the UAE's efforts to empower women, providing opportunities to showcase their capabilities. Supporting women enhances innovation, creativity, and sustainable growth, promoting social and economic justice and stability, in line with wise leadership's directives.

New Horizons

Her Excellency Mona Al Marri highlighted that the MoU with GDRFA will enhance cooperation in supporting women, aligning with the Establishment’s strategy to develop women leaders and create a women-friendly city in Dubai. She praised Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri for supporting Emirati women in various roles and emphasized the exemplary image presented by GDRFA's female employees across Dubai's ports.

Areas of cooperation

The MoU facilitates cooperation between GDRFA and DWE in organizing training courses and participation in forums and conferences. GDRFA employees can benefit from specialized workshops and access DWE's expert trainers and consultants. It includes exchanging studies and research and providing access to training facilities at GDRFA's Continuing Education and Talent Development Center. Female GDRFA employees will also receive special membership packages from the Dubai Ladies Club for their professional and personal development.
