GITEX Global 2024 Unveils Cutting-Edge Cybersecurity and AI Innovations

GITEX Global 2024 commenced today, spotlighting the latest advancements in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

The event kicked off with "Cybersecurity Day," delving into the evolving threats landscape and the necessary countermeasures organizations need to thrive in an increasingly digital era.

Yesterday's "AI Super Tuesday" showcased groundbreaking innovations shaping the future of both society and industry. As AI becomes pivotal in drug discovery, experts debated the topic in the session titled "The Next Leap in Medicine: Are We on the Edge of a Breakthrough?"

Dr. Shameer Khader, Global Head at Sanofi, emphasized the urgency of reforming the traditional drug discovery process, stating,

"On average, it takes 10-15 years and $1.5-2 billion to develop a drug. This model must change. We should optimize every process to reduce costs and streamline discovery."

A highlight of the day was a case study on 'BabyX,' an AI-powered interactive simulation of a lifelike infant that learns and responds like a human. This innovative technology, utilizing biological AI and an operating system called Brain Language, could revolutionize future applications in the AI economy.

In another notable session, the "Quantum Mobility Quest" examined how high-performance computing is pushing the boundaries of next-generation aircraft development. UAE-based Presight also unveiled its Intelli Platform, enabling cities and infrastructure organizations to leverage generative AI for immediate operational enhancements.

GITEX 2024 continues to facilitate discussions on Intelligent Connectivity, inviting industry leaders to explore how emerging technologies can drive innovation and economic growth. The World Future Economy Digital Leaders Summit further enriches the event with a lineup of renowned experts, solidifying GITEX's position as a cornerstone of technological advancement.
