GITEX Global 2025 wrapped up in Dubai after a five-day showcase that positioned the UAE at the center of global AI and digital innovation.
The event brought together more than 6,800 exhibitors, 2,000 startups from 180 countries, and 1,200 investors across Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai Harbour.
Industry leaders hailed the event as a catalyst for the UAE’s AI leadership. Amr Kamel, General Manager at Microsoft UAE, said GITEX continues to be a powerful platform driving the nation’s digital transformation and global collaboration.
The highlight of the week was a virtual dialogue between OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and G42 Group CEO Peng Xiao on building AI-native societies, exploring how international cooperation is shaping the global AI economy. Ministers and officials from around the world also gathered to address pressing challenges around AI regulation, trust, and data sovereignty.
This year’s edition spotlighted future-critical sectors, unveiling breakthroughs in AI, quantum computing, biotech, and digital health. Startups showcased innovations from brain-computer implants to AI-driven gene editing, while tech giants including AWS, Oracle, AMD, Huawei, and Google revealed new infrastructure powering nation-scale intelligence.
A record number of public-private partnerships were signed, including initiatives to train 30,000 UAE residents in AI and cloud technologies and develop AI-powered urban mobility solutions. The startup showcase at Dubai Harbour connected founders from 100 nations with investors managing over $1.1 trillion in assets.
Looking ahead, GITEX will return in December 2026 with GITEX TechCation at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai—an expanded format that blends technology, innovation, and Dubai’s vibrant lifestyle into one global experience.
