GITEX, the world’s largest technology and digital investment show brand, is expanding into Latin America with the launch of GITEX LATAM, set to debut in São Paulo, Brazil, from 16–17 March 2027.

The announcement, made during GITEX GLOBAL 2024 in Dubai, marks a major step in connecting Latin America’s fast-growing digital economy—projected to reach nearly US$950 billion by 2026—to global innovation networks.

Organised by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and KAOUN International in partnership with the São Paulo Development Agency (ADESAMPA), GITEX LATAM will be the region’s first large-scale international technology event. It aims to position São Paulo as the hub where Latin America’s digital ambitions meet the world’s leading innovators, investors, and enterprises.

Brazil’s prominent role at GITEX GLOBAL this year underscores the partnership’s momentum. The country participated as the official Country Partner through ApexBrasil, showcasing over 50 startups and innovation hubs, alongside strong representation from Chile and Ecuador.

São Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes hailed the event as a gateway for Latin American innovators to access global markets, investors, and visibility. He said the city is committed to empowering entrepreneurs and reaffirming its leadership as the region’s innovation capital.

Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International, described Brazil as the “vibrant cornerstone” of Latin America’s digital economy, highlighting GITEX LATAM’s role in unlocking new access to capital, talent, and technology across the continent.

As Latin America’s economies accelerate toward a collective GDP of US$6.8 trillion by 2025, GITEX LATAM is poised to become a defining platform for the region’s digital transformation, fostering cross-border collaboration and driving innovation across key sectors including AI, agritech, cloud computing, and renewable energy.
