Global AI Leaders Praise Dubai's Commitment to Innovation at AI and Web3 Festival

Executives from leading artificial intelligence (AI) companies have praised the UAE and Dubai for their leadership in attracting global innovators, startups, and capital to the Middle East, particularly in the digital economy sector.

Speaking at a panel discussion at the Dubai International Financial Centre, part of the preparations for the inaugural Dubai AI and Web3 Festival, industry leaders emphasized the significance of Dubai as a global hub for future technologies.

Nader Al Bastaki, Managing Director of Dubai Future District Fund, highlighted the importance of building awareness and trust within the AI sector by engaging stakeholders in discussions about key industry issues. He described the Dubai AI and Web3 Festival as an ideal platform to bring together global stakeholders to increase public awareness of AI developments and forecast future trends.

Heath Behncke, Managing Director of Holon, noted that Dubai's initiatives to accelerate AI adoption across vital sectors have made it a welcoming environment for global AI companies and talent. He also pointed out Dubai's role in unlocking new markets for global companies in the Middle East.

Patrik Eriksson, Director of Data Technology and Delivery at ZainTECH, described the UAE as a global hub for innovation, bringing together global AI companies to explore new opportunities and inform policies. He emphasized the Dubai AI and Web3 Festival’s role in attracting global experts to exchange knowledge and promote AI literacy.

Peter Oganesean, Managing Director for the Middle East and East Africa at HP Computing and Printing Middle East, spoke about the festival’s potential to unlock AI's potential, empowering individuals and companies with the tools needed to utilize AI solutions in the future.

Saqr Ereiqat, CEO of TradeDog Market Manager, added that the UAE has established itself as a leader in disruptive technology through its investment in human capital and infrastructure.

The Dubai AI and Web3 Festival is expected to further solidify the UAE’s position as a global leader in the digital economy, fostering innovation and expanding the reach of AI applications across the region.
