The Museum of the Future announced today that 20 international organizations have joined the Global Futures Society, increasing its membership to 60 foresight institutions worldwide.
The milestone was revealed during the Dubai Future Forum 2024, the largest global gathering of futurists and foresight practitioners.
The expanded network convened on Wednesday to explore avenues for collaboration and to chart out new initiatives. Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), highlighted the significance of this growth, stating,
“The continuous expansion of this global network reflects the growing international interest in Dubai’s and the UAE’s approach to future-building. The Global Futures Society was established to foster strategic partnerships that contribute to designing a better future.”
Since its inception at the Dubai Future Forum in 2022, the Global Futures Society has rapidly evolved into a prominent platform for foresight collaboration. Initially welcoming 40 members in 2023, it now represents institutions from across the globe.
Headquartered at the Museum of the Future, the society underscores Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation and foresight. Members actively engage in workshops, training programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives aimed at promoting long-term design thinking and strategic planning.
The Global Futures Society is dedicated to addressing critical global trends and fostering a culture of innovation. By enabling collaboration and expertise exchange, the society is working to create a resilient and sustainable future.
