Google continues to enhance Gmail’s usability, with its latest update focusing on summary cards. These real-time cards help users keep track of important information—such as purchases, events, bills, and travel—within the clutter of their inboxes, offering quick actions and updates.

Google's updated summary cards now cover four categories: purchases, events, bills, and travel. These cards offer dynamic, real-time updates that allow users to track packages, view event details, pay bills, and manage travel plans directly from their inboxes. For instance, purchase cards show order details and shipping updates, while event cards highlight reservations and allow users to add them to their calendar or get directions.

New bill cards display payment amounts and due dates, allowing users to set reminders or add deadlines to Google Tasks. Travel cards give users key trip information, like flight details and hotel check-out times, with options to check in or manage bookings.

The updated cards come with a more intuitive layout, featuring larger fonts and action buttons for quick navigation. Additionally, Gmail introduces a "Happening soon" section at the top of the inbox, providing a centralized view of upcoming deliveries, events, and travel plans.

These updates are currently rolling out for Gmail's iOS and Android apps, with the new categories and the "Happening soon" feature arriving in the coming months.
