Google has introduced a major update to its AI chatbot Gemini, adding capabilities to generate interactive 3D models and real-time simulations, marking a significant step toward more immersive and practical AI tools.
The new feature allows users to create visual models that can be rotated, zoomed, and explored from multiple angles. Users can also adjust elements through control sliders or input custom values to instantly modify how simulations behave, offering a more hands-on way to understand complex concepts.
According to Google, the update introduces advanced live simulation tools that can convert technical documents and data into interactive visual interfaces. These can function like mini applications, enabling users to engage with scientific, engineering, or programming concepts in a more intuitive format.
Accessing the feature is straightforward. Users need to select the Pro model within Gemini, request a simulation or interactive model, and then choose the “View visualisation” option in the response.
The update comes as competition intensifies among AI developers to evolve chatbots beyond text-based responses. Companies are increasingly focusing on building tools that support experiential learning, particularly in education, where interactive visualisation can improve comprehension and engagement.
With this release, Google positions Gemini as a more dynamic platform, bridging the gap between information and application through interactive AI-driven experiences.
