The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) is continuing its proactive approach to improving the UAE's pension and social security framework by forming over 60 strategic partnerships with federal, government, and private sector entities in recent years.
This initiative is part of the UAE government’s broader mission to promote socio-economic sustainability and strengthen global competitiveness.
As part of its efforts, GPSSA has introduced innovative business models, including accelerators and services, which have led to the creation of transformative projects such as the Government Excellence System (GEM 2.0). These initiatives have streamlined pension and social security schemes for both employees and employers, fostering efficiency and transparency.
A key development in this drive was the launch of the Ma’ashi platform, developed in collaboration with 23 federal and government authorities. This platform is aimed at optimizing electronic integration processes to enhance the service delivery for pensioners and beneficiaries.
Notably, GPSSA’s partnership with the Ministry of Possibilities led to the introduction of a fully digital service system for pensioners over 60, widows, and unmarried women. This initiative allows these groups to access services remotely, eliminating the need for in-person visits to service centers. The collaboration also streamlined administrative processes, such as reporting changes in personal status, including death, marriage, or divorce.
Further collaborations with ministries and judicial departments, including the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health, Abu Dhabi and Dubai courts, and Dubai Police, have significantly improved the overall customer experience. These efforts align with the UAE Centennial Plan 2071, which envisions a globally influential and forward-thinking nation.
