Dubai-based vertical farm Greeneration highlighted the commercial viability of urban farming at Gulfood 2026, engaging chefs, hospitality groups, and industry partners to demonstrate how local produce can meet the region’s growing demand for premium ingredients.
The global food and beverage exhibition, held across two venues and spanning 300,000 square metres, attracted participants from 195 countries. Gulfood 2026 combined large-scale trade with strategic dialogue, placing food security, resource efficiency, and supply chain resilience at the centre of discussions.
Greeneration offers a curated range of premium edible flowers, microgreens, specialty leaves, and rare vegetables produced in the UAE and supplied to the HoReCa sector. At the event, the company met long-standing clients and explored new partnerships, positioning urban farming as an operational solution rather than a conceptual idea.
Roman Ulyanov, Founder and CEO of Greeneration, said the exhibition underlined a global shift in food production. He described Gulfood as
“the primary venue to prove that urban farming is no longer a theoretical concept but a scalable, commercial reality essential for the UAE’s National Food Security Strategy 2051.”
During the event, Greeneration showcased its full product range, discussed sourcing needs with chefs and procurement teams, and signed new supply agreements, reinforcing its role as a reliable partner for premium kitchens across Dubai.
By combining innovation, sustainability, and local production, Greeneration aims to support the UAE’s food security goals while meeting the evolving expectations of fine dining and hospitality operators.
