Guinness World Records has partnered with the 2025 Dubai Marathon, offering runners the chance to attempt world records during the iconic event on January 12, 2025. Participants can break records across categories such as running in costumes for charity, running as parent-child pairs, or attempting quirky feats like dribbling a basketball, running blindfolded, or completing the marathon in a suit.
Shaddy Gaad, Senior Marketing Manager at Guinness World Records, emphasized the initiative's goal to inspire communities through sports, with free registration for record attempts and expedited approval for participants. Dubai Marathon Event Director Peter Connerton highlighted the fun and inclusive nature of this initiative, while ensuring compliance with UAE laws for fundraising-related records.
Registration for the marathon, including the 10km Road Race and 4km Fun Run, is available online at dubaimarathon.org.
Xiaomi Joins as Official Partner
The 2025 Dubai Marathon has also partnered with Xiaomi, reflecting the brand’s commitment to promoting sports and innovation. This collaboration aims to enhance the marathon experience, blending athleticism with Xiaomi’s smart technology to create a memorable event.
