H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has approved a series of initiatives aimed at accelerating Dubai’s growth in technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
The new projects are part of a broader strategy to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global leader in the digital economy and support the city’s ambitious Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double its GDP by 2033.
The initiatives focus on fostering national talent, supporting startups, and driving economic growth across various sectors. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of keeping pace with global technological advancements while positioning Dubai at the forefront of innovation.
“Our strategies are not just to keep pace, but to lead,”
he stated.
Key projects include the Government Venture Building Program, which transforms government assets into commercial ventures, and the National Tech Skills Enhancement Program, designed to train 5,000 Emiratis in future technologies over the next five years. The IGNYTE digital platform will empower startups by connecting them with investors and resources, while the CleanScape initiative will use data-driven technology to enhance Dubai’s urban environment.
These initiatives align with the UAE’s vision of becoming a global hub for future industries, positioning Dubai as a launchpad for startups worldwide. Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a sustainable digital economy that drives long-term growth and innovation.
