Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has unveiled the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Empowerment Medal to honour government officials who excel in developing and empowering the next generation of leaders.
Announced during the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum at Dubai World Trade Centre, the annual medal will recognise leaders who foster trust, inspire innovation, and delegate authority to strengthen institutional culture. The initiative reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who emphasises that true leadership lies in cultivating capable successors.
Sheikh Hamdan said the medal celebrates officials who actively support emerging leaders and prepare them to continue Dubai’s journey of progress. He stressed that every official has a responsibility to empower new talent with the confidence and skills needed to meet global challenges.
Nominees will be assessed on their ability to mentor young leaders, build strong teams, and implement sustainable leadership practices across government entities. The medal also highlights successful institutional models that can be replicated to strengthen leadership development throughout Dubai.
By embedding empowerment into government structures, the initiative aims to create a lasting framework for leadership growth, ensuring Dubai remains a global model for governance, innovation, and sustainable progress.
