The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has announced the launch of the fourth season of its prestigious "Future Science Challenge," organized by the Hamdan Centre for Giftedness and Innovation.

This year's competition will extend its reach to encompass the entire Arab world, aiming to inspire young innovators across the region.

Under the theme "Fostering Positive Change in Society," this season encourages participants to utilize modern technologies to tackle social challenges in healthcare, education, and living standards. The competition targets talented students aged 10 to 17, providing them with a platform to enhance their scientific and technical skills while showcasing their innovative ideas.

Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, emphasized the competition's role in inspiring Arab youth to drive positive change. He remarked,

"The previous seasons saw impressive participation and interest from students across the GCC, prompting us to broaden the competition's scope. The submitted projects have demonstrated exceptional innovation, including smart irrigation systems and health monitoring devices."

Interested participants can visit their website for detailed information on application procedures. Registered teams will gain access to an electronic platform for project submissions and a comprehensive training curriculum covering artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.

The competition will proceed in two stages. Initially, projects will be submitted and evaluated online, with the top ten projects in each age category advancing to the final stage. The finalists will undergo online interviews for a detailed assessment.

The competition will commence in September 2024, with final results announced in February 2025. Key dates include introductory meetings in September, a training programme in October, and virtual evaluations in January and February. The event will conclude with a virtual closing ceremony on February 27, 2025, where winners will be recognized and awarded.
