The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has announced the opening of registration for the latest edition of its renowned medical awards, which aim to recognize outstanding contributions to healthcare both locally and regionally.

Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Foundation, expressed pride in launching a new cycle of the Medical Awards, emphasizing their role in inspiring innovation and research across the Arab world and UAE. He stated,

"These awards celebrate excellence, enhance competitiveness, and encourage groundbreaking solutions to challenges in healthcare, ultimately driving advancements and improving care quality."

The awards are divided into two main categories: the Arab World Awards and Local UAE Awards. The Arab World Awards include the AED200,000 Arab Award for Research in Healthcare and the AED370,000 Arab Award in Genetics. The latter honors excellence in human genetics, recognizing advancements in understanding and combating genetic diseases.

Locally, the awards highlight emerging talent with the AED100,000 Best Research in Healthcare Award and celebrate innovative contributions through the AED250,000 Innovation in Healthcare Award. The AED200,000 Hamdan Award for Distinguished Personalities honors Emirati nationals who have made significant strides in the healthcare sector.

Building on two decades of success, the Foundation aims to foster collaboration and share regional achievements on a global scale. The 2024 edition of the awards continues to highlight the Foundation's commitment to advancing medical research, healthcare innovation, and improving quality of life through sustainable healthcare development.
