The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has launched the fifth edition of the Future Science Challenge, bringing together gifted Arab students to explore innovative solutions in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Unveiled on Thursday, October 9, the 2025 edition is themed “Tourism and Hospitality,” reflecting the UAE’s national AI strategy and the Foundation’s goal of linking education with key economic sectors. The initiative encourages students to develop technologies that enhance service quality, elevate visitor experiences, and promote sustainability within the tourism industry.
Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, said the challenge exemplifies applied education that bridges science, economics, and culture. He emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to nurturing creativity-based learning and supporting projects with real social and economic value.
Participating students from across the Arab region will engage in specialized training programmes designed to strengthen their AI and IoT skills. Under the guidance of expert mentors, teams will design innovative projects aimed at improving community development and sustainability.
Entries will be assessed by a panel of academics, engineers, and technology experts, who will evaluate projects based on creativity, impact, and implementation quality. The winning teams are set to be announced and honored in April 2026.
Through the Future Science Challenge, the Foundation continues to empower the next generation of Arab innovators, inspiring them to use technology as a tool for progress and regional collaboration.
