The Hatta Farming Festival has returned for its third edition, reinforcing Dubai’s push to strengthen local agriculture, rural development, and agri-tourism under the Dubai Farms programme launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Organised by Dubai Municipality and running until 1 February at Hatta Leem Lake, the festival brings together Emirati farmers, estate owners, and local agricultural companies, marking its most expansive edition to date. The event forms part of the Hatta Winter initiative led by Brand Dubai and contributes to the #DubaiDestinations campaign, highlighting Hatta’s natural, cultural, and agricultural appeal.
This year’s festival features broader participation from specialised farms, estates, and agribusinesses showcasing modern farming solutions and innovative products. For the first time, government and private sector entities are also supporting People of Determination through inclusive product displays, workshops, and activities.
As part of its farmer support programmes, Dubai Municipality has allocated AED3.7 million in agricultural assistance for Hatta. The package includes fertilisers, seed varieties, pest control services, agricultural guidance, and the rollout of tourism and production projects supported by modern farming technologies.
Dubai Municipality Director General Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita said the festival serves as an integrated platform that connects farmers to organised markets, training, and advisory services, strengthening food security and sustainable rural development.
Open to the public free of charge, the festival offers product showcases, consultancy services, competitions, and family-friendly activities, positioning Hatta as a growing hub for sustainable agriculture and eco-tourism.
