Hatta Ramadan Tournament Set to Kick Off with Record-Breaking Participation

The highly anticipated third edition of the Hatta Ramadan Tournament is all set to take place tomorrow, promising to be the largest sporting event in the Hatta region.

Hosted under the patronage of the Higher Committee for Supervising the Development of the Hatta Region and organized by the Dubai Sports Council and the Group Games Company, the tournament will be held at the Hatta Sports, Cultural, and Social Club.

Running until March 22, this year's tournament will feature ten exciting sporting disciplines, including indoor football, volleyball (men’s and women’s), beach volleyball, electronic gaming, running races, weightlifting, badminton, tug-of-war, and a walking challenge for senior citizens. Events will be spread across multiple venues, with competitions held at the Hatta Sports Club, Community Development Authority Hall, and the stunning Hatta Waterfalls.

In alignment with the UAE's "Year of Community" objectives, the tournament aims to enhance community cohesion, encourage healthy lifestyles, and promote values such as teamwork and mutual respect. It provides a platform to foster interaction across various segments of society and drive social and economic development in the region.

A wide range of community-focused activities, including competitions for children and girls, will also take place throughout the event. Special programs for youth and families in the Matajer area are another highlight.

The event, sponsored by Al Shafar Investment Company and the Roads and Transport Authority, is backed by Dubai Police for security and supported by various local organizations, ensuring a safe and exciting experience for all. Efforts to involve the youth of Hatta in event preparations will help instill a strong sense of teamwork and volunteerism, further enhancing the community spirit of the tournament.
