The Hatta Unites Us festival is emerging as a powerful platform for community empowerment, spotlighting the stories of home-based entrepreneurs who are driving social and economic growth in the Hatta region.
Organised by the Community Development Authority in Dubai in partnership with Brand Dubai and the Supreme Committee to Oversee the Development of Hatta, the festival brings together government support and grassroots creativity. This year’s edition features 35 local entrepreneurs, reflecting the area’s growing momentum and entrepreneurial ambition.
Drawing on everyday experiences and local heritage, participants showcase a diverse range of products, including traditional food, confectionery, fragrances, textiles, and handmade crafts. The festival allows entrepreneurs to engage directly with visitors, expand their market reach, and present authentic offerings that reflect Hatta’s cultural identity.
Beyond commerce, the festival highlights deeply human stories of collaboration and empowerment. Families have come together to launch shared ventures, while young talents have gained confidence through community-backed business initiatives. In one case, a mother secured a commercial licence to support her daughters’ matcha business, which attracted strong interest from visitors on opening day.
The event also fosters social connection, providing a welcoming space for families to reunite and for community bonds to be strengthened. Contributions from senior citizens, people of determination, and volunteers further underscore the festival’s inclusive approach.
Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, said the festival reflects a commitment to empowering homegrown entrepreneurs and supporting sustainable business growth.
Running through December, Hatta Unites Us continues to reinforce its role as a cornerstone initiative, celebrating resilience, preserving heritage, and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs across the region.
