The Hatta Winter initiative under Dubai’s #DubaiDestinations campaign is returning with its most ambitious creative programme yet, offering 150 interactive workshops that position the Hatta festival as a leading artistic and community-focused destination this winter.
Presented by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, the expanded workshop programme reflects strong demand from previous editions and underscores a growing focus on experiential, skill-based activities for families and visitors of all ages. Set amid Hatta’s mountain landscapes, the festival blends creativity, culture, and nature into a single immersive experience.
The workshops will be hosted in a dedicated outdoor creative hub overlooking Leem Lake and the surrounding festival grounds. Running throughout the festival, the sessions are designed for both children and adults, offering hands-on opportunities to explore crafts and artistic techniques inspired by Hatta’s natural environment.
This year’s programme features a wide range of activities, including pottery and clay modelling, jewellery making, canvas painting, crochet, fabric crafts, mosaic art, tote bag design, beadwork, and plant accessories. Each workshop is led by experienced local experts, encouraging participants to develop practical skills while engaging with the region’s cultural heritage.
The initiative is supported through collaborations with local creative brands and artists, including The Sewing House, Sheikha Al Badwawi, Badria Obaid Ali, and Aicha Jawhar. These partnerships reflect Brand Dubai’s commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises and strengthening Dubai’s creative economy.
Amina Taher, a member of the Hatta festival organising committee, said the workshops play a central role in connecting visitors with nature, promoting sustainable practices, and reinforcing Hatta’s identity as a distinctive winter destination rooted in culture and community.
