The Hatta Winter 2024 initiative, launched under the supervision of the Supreme Committee to Oversee the Development of Hatta, has emerged as a significant platform for small and emerging businesses.
Spearheaded by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, the event provides an opportunity for 30 businesses from the Proudly from Dubai network to showcase their innovative products. This year’s showcase aligns with efforts to foster entrepreneurship in Dubai and spotlight local talent.
Five festivals are underway across Hatta as part of the initiative, including the Hatta Winter Festival, Hatta Cultural Nights, Hatta Honey Festival, Hatta Agricultural Festival, and Hatta x DSF. These festivals offer visitors diverse cultural, community, and entertainment experiences while supporting local businesses.
Khawla Al Hashemi, Member of the Organising Committee, highlighted the initiative’s role in driving economic and tourism growth, stating,
“The Hatta Winter initiative creates a significant market for local entrepreneurs while aligning with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and Dubai Economic Agenda D33.”
Entrepreneurs from the Hatta region and beyond are showcasing products such as apparel, accessories, artisanal coffee, and Emirati perfumes, alongside traditional crafts and gourmet delights. Additionally, ten enterprises under the Projects of Emirati Families Products initiative are enriching the event with handcrafted goods that celebrate Emirati heritage.
Supporting the event, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) offers the ‘Hatta Express’ bus service, along with 1,100 dedicated parking slots and shuttle buses for easy visitor access.
The Hatta Winter 2024 initiative not only highlights Dubai’s entrepreneurial spirit but also establishes Hatta as a prime destination for culture, innovation, and tourism.
