Honeywell Aerospace Technologies has signed a three year agreement with Global Aerospace Logistics to speed up and streamline repair and overhaul services for the UAE’s Joint Aviation Command and Air Force and Air Defence, strengthening support for some of the country’s most critical aviation assets.
The collaboration is designed to improve maintenance efficiency for Honeywell’s T55 turboshaft engines and environmental control systems. The companies aim to deliver faster component shipping and reduced turnaround times, ultimately improving mission readiness for UAE military operators.
Under the agreement, GAL will handle complete logistics management on behalf of UAE customers. Its responsibilities will include choosing the most suitable Honeywell repair facility, overseeing the shipping process, and ensuring full repair visibility throughout each stage. Customers will continue receiving Honeywell’s parts and repair services supported by a simplified regional logistics model that cuts downtime.
Honeywell executives said the partnership will help eliminate long wait times and introduce a more efficient repair model to the region. GAL’s leadership highlighted its ability to provide greater transparency and faster service through its end to end logistics expertise.
The deal expands a decade long partnership between Honeywell and GAL and reinforces their shared commitment to delivering reliable, localised support solutions for defence operators across the UAE.
