Ski Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, celebrated the 15th edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge today, marking a milestone with a record 626 athletes from 68 nationalities participating.
The event, featuring over 20 challenging obstacles in sub-zero temperatures, saw 263 Emiratis showcase their mental and physical strength.
Winners were recognized across three categories: Elite Fitness, Regular, and Team.
In the Elite Fitness category, Hallvard Borsheim triumphed with a remarkable finish time of 29:07. He was followed by Yeison Londono Franco and Marc Al Onso, who finished in 36:55 and 37:19, respectively. For the women, Tetiana Maltseva secured first place at 37:16, with Olga Naumova and Paulina Bascaro finishing second and third at 40:17 and 45:02.
In the Regular category, Mikhail Rudik and Luz Barrios emerged as the top male and female winners, clocking in at 20:34 and 24:39, respectively. They were closely followed by Mohamed Moulay and Nigina Lolakova, while Jad Hamdan and Leena Reda rounded out the top three.
The Team category was dominated by Kebab Glorious, who finished first at 36:32, just ahead of The Ski Turtles and Gambiteers.
The event was attended by prominent figures including His Excellency Saeed Hareb and executives from Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment, who presented trophies and prizes to the winners. All participants received commemorative medals and souvenir T-shirts.
Ski Dubai continues to promote health and active living through such unique events and has been nominated for the ‘World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort’ at the World Ski Awards, a title it has held for eight consecutive years.
