The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has announced the launch of a new initiative, "Matwa'a Al Freij," to meet the educational needs of new generations through Quran memorization and knowledge sessions.

The program, designed specifically for females, will commence in October 2024 and run until June 15, 2025.

"Matwa'a Al Freij" aims to enhance Islamic education and values by offering participants Quran memorization, worship jurisprudence, and Islamic values sessions through a unified digital platform. The initiative is open to women aged 16 and above, including people of determination and seniors. It seeks to cultivate a conscious generation that positively impacts the community.

Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, noted that the initiative aligns with Dubai's Social Agenda 33, focusing on building connected, tolerant families while preserving national values. Flexible lesson timings will cater to the needs of participants, enabling them to learn at their convenience.

Dr. Abdullah Ibrahim Abduljabbar, Acting Director of Maktoum Centers for Quran and Islamic Sciences, emphasized that the initiative addresses the educational needs of females across different age groups. He encouraged women to register and participate, highlighting the program’s potential for personal development and community engagement.

Registration will open in the first week of October 2024, with sessions scheduled throughout the week. Applications to become a teacher in the initiative can be submitted through the Dubai Jobs app.
