The Indian Business and Professional Council Dubai reinforced its position as a key driver of Indo UAE collaboration at its Annual General Meeting this weekend, highlighting strong growth, deeper engagement, and a renewed focus on advancing bilateral economic ties.
Chairman Siddharth Balachandran opened the meeting by underscoring the enduring partnership between the UAE and India, describing IBPC Dubai as a central platform for fostering shared prosperity. He pointed to the Council’s ongoing transformation, which aims to strengthen its role in supporting the Indian business community through collaboration and resilience.
The Council reported a year of notable progress, marked by a significant rise in membership and a clear shift toward inclusivity, including increased participation from women across sectors.
Continuity in leadership was also a key outcome, with Dr Sahitya Chaturvedi confirmed for a second term as Secretary General, ensuring stability and sustained execution of strategic initiatives.
New Focus Group Convenors were appointed across critical sectors, including health, finance, technology, real estate, energy, and tourism. These appointments bring together industry leaders to guide collaboration in areas central to Indo UAE economic engagement.
Looking ahead, IBPC Dubai announced plans to host the West Asia Business Conclave in April 2026 and the Family Business Conference in May 2026. Both platforms are expected to deepen cross border partnerships and strengthen institutional dialogue across the region.
