The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) announced the selection of the United Arab Emirates to host the 4th ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS 2025) and its accompanying exhibition.
The summit serves as a leading initiative to coordinate efforts in implementing ICAO's global plans for enhancing safety, security, and sustainability in aviation. It features intensive discussions, workshops, and meetings aimed at advancing these objectives.
Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the GCAA, highlighted the aviation sector's pivotal role in the UAE's diverse and robust economy, serving as a vital link to global markets. He attributed the UAE's success in the aviation sector to the wise vision and guidance of its leadership, advanced infrastructure, and globally renowned airlines.
