The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has launched its first international campus at Dubai International Academic City, marking a significant step in strengthening India-UAE educational ties.

The campus was inaugurated by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who said the move reflects Dubai’s growing role as a global hub for talent, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He noted that the initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Education 33 Strategy, which aim to position Dubai among the world’s top economies and student destinations by 2033.

The new campus will offer a one-year full-time MBA programme tailored for professionals and entrepreneurs, providing advanced management training in a globally competitive environment. In its first year, the institute also plans to establish two centres of excellence dedicated to case development and start-up incubation.

Equipped with modern facilities, the Dubai campus is designed to deliver world-class learning opportunities while fostering cross-cultural exchange. Leaders from both countries described the launch as a milestone in academic collaboration, reinforcing Dubai’s growing reputation as a destination for world-class higher education.
