IMI, a global media powerhouse headquartered in the UAE, has been announced as a strategic partner for the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, set to take place from January 11th to 13th, 2025, at Dubai's Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future.

Organized by the UAE Government Media Office, the summit will focus on the theme "Content for Good."

This partnership highlights the shared commitment of IMI and the summit to support creativity, innovation, and knowledge sharing in the media industry. IMI's extensive network, which includes prominent brands such as Sky News Arabia, The National, Al-Ain News, and CNN Business Arabic, will play a key role in the summit’s efforts to foster impactful content and explore the innovative use of technology and AI in media.

Rania Masri El Khatib, IMI's Chief Brand and Marcomms Officer, emphasized the importance of staying ahead of industry trends, stating,

"The media industry is evolving rapidly, driven by groundbreaking technological advancements and shifting audience behaviours."

She added that the collaboration with the 1 Billion Followers Summit offers a unique opportunity to amplify Arabic media content and empower creators to tell impactful stories that resonate globally.

In addition to IMI's strategic partnership, the third edition of the summit will introduce exciting new initiatives, including the inaugural 1 Billion Award, a $1 million prize recognizing creators of meaningful content. The summit will also feature the 1 Billion Pitches competition, offering startups and entrepreneurs a platform to pitch innovative projects to prominent investors for potential funding and support.
