Intersec 2026 is set to return to Dubai next week with an expanded agenda and a series of new industry platforms aimed at reshaping how security, safety and fire protection are advanced worldwide.

Organisers confirmed that the event will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 12 to 14 January 2026, introducing several first-time initiatives designed to strengthen professional standards and innovation.

The 27th edition of Intersec is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the event organiser, announced the launch of three headline features including Passive Fire Day, the Control Room Innovation Theatre and the co-located FCIA–NFCA PFPCON ’26 Dubai conference.

Passive Fire Day will be hosted on 14 January in partnership with the Association for Passive Fire Protection. The programme aims to elevate passive fire protection into a recognised professional discipline within the construction and built environment sectors. Presentations and panel discussions will address regulatory alignment, early engagement in building design, best practice in fire door installation and competence across the passive fire supply chain.

Running alongside Intersec, PFPCON ’26 Dubai will bring together global experts from the Firestop Contractors International Association and the National Fireproofing Contractors Association. The co-located event focuses on advancing collaboration, accountability and technical competency in passive fire safety.

Another new addition is the Control Room Innovation Theatre, developed with the International Critical Control Rooms Alliance. Through dedicated sessions, the theatre will explore how artificial intelligence and data analytics are transforming operations centres into smarter, more integrated command hubs. Discussions will also examine operator wellbeing and workforce resilience as essential components of performance.

Intersec 2026 is backed by Dubai Civil Defense and the Security Industry Regulatory Agency. The event will host more than 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries and is expected to attract 50,000 visitors. With 65,000 square metres of exhibition space and more than 1,200 exhibitors, organisers say it will be the largest edition in Intersec’s 27-year history.
