The Italian pavilion at the 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) will feature 44 leading companies from Italy, showcasing their expertise in renewable energy systems, environmental health, and sustainability technologies.
WETEX, organized by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), will take place from October 1-3, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, hosting 16 international pavilions.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, emphasized the deepening relationship between the UAE and Italy, now elevated to a Strategic Partnership, highlighting the collaboration in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green technologies. He praised the increased participation of Italian companies, underlining their commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Lorenzo Fanara, the Italian Ambassador to the UAE, echoed this sentiment, noting that both countries are dedicated to fostering a greener economy. He highlighted Italy's role as the UAE’s second-largest European supplier of renewable energy technologies, stressing the importance of collaboration in clean energy and water management.
Valerio Soldani, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, underscored Italy's commitment to sustainability, noting Italy's substantial investments in circular economy strategies and its position as the fourth-largest exporter of renewable energy technologies to the UAE. The Italian pavilion, organized by the Italian Trade Agency, will present cutting-edge technologies and solutions in various fields, from renewable energy to environmental sanitation, reflecting Italy's dedication to driving sustainable innovation.
WETEX 2024 serves as a vital platform for strengthening commercial ties between Emirati and Italian companies, advancing mutual goals in energy transformation and environmental sustainability.
