DP World’s Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (Jafza) and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) have signed a landmark agreement to establish a unified framework that allows companies to operate seamlessly across both zones, enhancing Dubai’s appeal as a global hub for trade and finance.

The partnership connects Jafza’s industrial and logistics ecosystem with DIFC’s financial and legal platform, enabling investors to integrate manufacturing, storage, and distribution with financial structuring, capital management, and succession planning. The initiative supports the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to position the emirate among the world’s top three global cities by 2033.

Through this dual-zone model, businesses can base production and regional distribution in Jafza while managing financing, governance, and investments through DIFC. This alignment offers access to trade finance opportunities, duty exemptions, world-class infrastructure, and a robust regulatory environment.

His Excellency Arif Amiri, CEO of DIFC Authority, said the collaboration empowers global enterprises to align strategic and financial decisions with efficient logistical deployment, fostering innovation and long-term growth.

His Excellency Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and MD of DP World GCC, highlighted that the framework connects trade with capital, allowing companies to optimise costs and strengthen control over global operations.

As part of the agreement, Jafza and DIFC will jointly conduct investor engagement initiatives, including roadshows, webinars, and case studies, to promote the benefits of the dual-zone model and attract international businesses to Dubai’s expanding economic ecosystem.
