Dubai is about to experience its first-ever pop culture extravaganza with the launch of the JPEX Entertainment Exhibition, set to take place from April 25 to 27 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City.
This three-day event promises an immersive celebration of anime, gaming, cosplay, and Japanese cultural experiences, catering to fans of all ages.
What makes JPEX truly unique is its foundation. The event is entirely conceived and organized by four young Emiratis with a shared passion for pop culture. Driven by a vision to create Dubai’s premier annual pop culture event, the founders have worked independently to bring this event to life without the backing of major corporate sponsors.
Attendees can look forward to an exciting lineup of voice acting stars from Japan and the Arab world, including Hiroshi Kitadani (One Piece), Ryusei Nakao (Dragon Ball Z, One Piece), Showtaro Morikubo (Naruto), and Amal Saadeddin (Detective Conan, Pokémon). These stars will lead live performances, voice-acting segments, and exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities, allowing fans to interact with the voices behind their favorite characters.
In addition to voice acting showcases, JPEX will feature cosplay competitions, gaming tournaments for popular titles like Tekken and Super Smash Bros., and a dedicated artist alley. Cultural activities, including kimono try-ons, tea ceremonies, and Japanese calligraphy, will transport visitors to Japan. Food courts, interactive workshops, and photo zones will further enhance the event experience.
JPEX is shaping up to be a must-attend event for pop culture enthusiasts in Dubai, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting annual tradition.
